Applying the QM Rubric Workshop

If you live in the Seattle area, and are interested in Quality Matters, please see the message below, sent today by Stephanie Delaney of Cascadia and UW, Bothell:

Colleagues,
I will be conducting a Quality Matters training next month and invite our neighboring colleges to attend in person.  We will also stream via Tegrity, but I don’t think that will count for the formal QM certification – I’m still waiting to hear from QM on that point.

Feel free to share the invitation broadly. As the course description notes, “It is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrators, and adjunct instructors who wish to understand more about the QM process”.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Stephanie

Subject: Quality Matters Training in August

Hello all,
In August, I will conduct a formal Quality Matters training here at Cascadia (see the full course description below). This 6 hour training will be divided into two sessions:
·         Wednesday, August 10 from 1 – 4, CC3-103
·         Wednesday, August 17 from 1 – 4, CC3-103

I encourage you to consider attending. The outcomes based focus on good course design makes this is a great workshop for faculty teaching in any mode – online, hybrid, web enhanced or face to face.

Additionally, if you are interested in becoming a Quality Matters reviewer, this class will satisfy the first step of that two-step process.

Please note the training will be streamed over the internet via Tegrity and will be recorded. However, I don’t think the live streaming or recordings will count towards the formal QM peer reviewer training (I am waiting for confirmation from QM on this point).

Please contact me at sdelaney@cascadia.edu with any questions.
Stephanie

It is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrators, and adjunct instructors who wish to understand more about the QM process and, perhaps, aspire to become peer reviewers.
