Using Social Media for Professional Development

Lisa Chamberlin is co-author of the Twitter in Higher Education chapter in Educating Educators with Social Media (2011) and Making the Move to eLearning: Putting Your Course Online (2009).

Since earning her M.Ed. degree in Curriculum and Instruction, she's been working both in content delivery and as an educational leader, focusing on professional development to convert courses for online delivery. She also develops online and hybrid courses in the community college setting for traditionally underserved students.

When she is not teaching, Lisa is a freelance instructional designer/consultant for both corporate and academic organizations, bringing the message of good course design, community, and the power of learning through social media to her work.
